Below you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions from our touring guests across our parks in Scotland, Northern England, and Devon.
What is a touring caravan holiday? A touring caravan holiday involves bringing your own caravan, campervan or motorhome to stay on one of our fully equipped touring pitches — giving you the freedom to explore, with the comforts of home close by.
Are your touring caravan sites open all year round? Some of our touring caravan parks are open all year, while others have seasonal availability. Check each park’s opening dates when booking.
What facilities are available on site? Most of our touring parks include electric hook-up, shower and toilet blocks, waste disposal, and access to bars, restaurants, play areas and more. Is electric hook-up available? Yes, electric hook-up is available on all standard and super touring pitches. Super pitches also include water and waste connections.
What size are the touring pitches? Pitch sizes vary from approx. 8x6.4m to 11.7x9m. Tent pitches are smaller and motorhome pitches larger — full details are listed per park.
Can I bring a motorhome or campervan? Absolutely. Most of our touring sites welcome touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans.
Can I book a specific pitch? In many cases, yes — subject to availability. You can request a preferred pitch during booking but this is not guaranteed.
Do you allow pets? Yes! Our touring pitches are pet-friendly, and your four-legged friend is welcome at all pet-approved parks.
Is Wi-Fi available for touring guests? Wi-Fi is available at selected parks and in key communal areas. Signal strength may vary across the site. Currently work is taking place to improve WiFi connectivity across our parks.
Are toilet and shower facilities nearby? Yes, each park has clean, well-maintained shower and toilet blocks close to touring areas.
Are there accessible touring facilities? We aim to be inclusive for all guests — accessible facilities are available at several parks. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
What should I bring? In addition to your touring unit, bring essentials like levelling blocks, water containers, toilet chemicals, and your usual holiday supplies.
Are shops or restaurants nearby? All our parks offer on-site dining or nearby local shops and takeaways. Facilities vary, so check the park's page for specifics.
Can friends or family visit during my stay? Yes, visitors are welcome. Please inform reception in advance and check if additional charges apply.
What are check-in and check-out times? Check-in for touring is from 2pm; check-out is usually by 12pm at all parks.
Is there a minimum stay? This varies by park and season. Weekend and short stays are available at many parks.
Do you offer seasonal or long-stay pitches? Yes, we have seasonal touring pitches available at select locations. Ideal for regular visitors — enquire for availability.
Are there any site rules? Each park has site guidelines to ensure a safe, enjoyable stay for everyone. These are shared during your booking or on arrival.

Children speak the truth! In reality, this is the review of my two grandsons...... '' Grandma this is a great place, can we come back again ''? I took them to Thurston Manor for the first time in February in my motorhome. The pitch was great, the facilities - shower/toilet's etc are immaculate and my boys are very particular but they 'approved'. The play areas are great for an 11 & 12 year old; they can run free and not be in anyone's way. They immediately asked if we could return, so we did at the end of April and we spent another fabulous 3 nights there. The whole site is so well kept ; the swimming pool etc is great and well supervised. We will be back, there is no doubt about that.

Spent the weekend on touring pitc, great value for money. Pitch spaces good size and not all squashed together. Food in restaurant was prices OK and really good portion size. We used the gym, swimming, sauna and steam room which was good. We also found the people and staff pleasant and friendly. Booked again can't wait to return and maybe try out the fly fishing this time 😀
