Accessible Holidays in the UK

There are car parking spaces directly outside Reception and the complex, including designated disabled bays outside the complex. All facilities on park, including Reception, the launderette, complex and play areas have ramp or flat access. No facilities have steps inside and are completely wheelchair, push chair and mobility scooter accessible. 

Access around the park does not involve any steps, but it is built on different gradients. There are inclines and declines of varying steepness. 

Accessible accommodation is available, with features designed for guests with limited mobility. Each of our holiday accommodation has its own dedicated car parking space.

There are designated disabled parking spaces within the car park at Reception, which is also where the shop is located. Reception, the shop, touring facilities, launderette and the complex can all be accessed by ramp. The complex is wheelchair accesible, with disabled access toilet facilities in the function room. There are also accessible toilet facilities for touring guests opposite Reception.

The park is level and all roads are tarmacked with clear signage throughout. The launderette on park has an access ramp and is wheelchair accessible. 

Accessible accommodation is available, with features designed for guests with limited mobility and neurodiverse guests. Each of our holiday accommodation has its own dedicated car parking space. 

Riverside is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

There is a communal car park outside the car park with one disabled parking bay directly opposite The Sandpiper. The Sandpiper includes Reception, the shop and the on-site bar and restaurant with outdoor terrace. The entrance is flat other than the lip on the automatic door and the building is on one level making it easily accessible throughout. There is one disabled access toilet. 

The Sales Office and Owners Lounge are located opposite The Sandpiper and can be accessed via a ramp. The entrances to the launderette and touring facilities is via a ramp and short walkway. There is one designated disabled shower/toilet room.

The park is flat throughout with a slight slope leading down to Sandside. Accessible accommodation is available, with features designed for guests with limited mobility. 

Queensberry Bay is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

The main entrance to the park is barrier operated with the main car park located 100m away from Reception and the complex. There are two disabled parking bays outside the main Reception and complex buildings. Reception and the complex can be accessed by ramp for easy access. The complex is all on one level with plenty of space for wheelchairs, and there are two disabled access toilets. 

The park is at the foot of a hill, but the park is on a fairly flat level. There are two streams running through the park and access across them is on ground level and suitable for wheelchairs. The launderette is at floor level and accessible.

Accessible accommodation is available, with features designed for guests with limited mobility. Disabled parking is designated adjacent to the caravan pitch. 

Pease Bay is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

Parking is available directly outside Reception and the shop, with additional parking outside the complex with designated disabled bays. Reception, the shop and the complex can all be accessed by ramp for easy access. The complex is all on one level with plenty of space for wheelchairs and there are disabled access toilets in the complex and Reception areas. 

The swimming pool does not have a hoist facilities but there is level access into the building. 

The top area of the park is all on a fairly flat level, as is the bottom area, but the hill joining the two is quite steep. The launderette on park has a small step up.

Thurston Manor is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

There is a parking area directly outside the Reception/Sales/Complex/Pool entrances. The car park and path to the building is flat and there is a ramp leading to Reception and the bar and restaurant. The pool is a short walk away and is also accessible via a step and ramp. There is a step to access the Sales office. 

Reception and the bar and lounge is all on one level, however access to the conservatory is via steps. There is an alternative route via the path to the pool. The swimming pool does not have a hoist facility but there is level access to the building. There are no disabled changing rooms, but the family changing room can be used and is easily accessible. 

Access to the park is up a steep, winding road and this continues throughout the majority of the park with dips and peaks. Some roads are tarmac, but some are gravel and shingle. The launderette has a small step up.

Unfortunately, there is no accessible accommodation currently available. 

Erigmore is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

Ballintuim's entrance has a steep winding road, but once on park this levels out. The park itself is on a small incline and the road is currently shingle, although soon to be tarmacked. The area around the office is level and parking is available directly outside the office. The office and launderette are in the same building and have a small step to gain entry. 

Unfortunately, there is no accessible accommodation currently available.

Car parking is located close to Reception, but we advise guests with limited mobility to unload 10 metres past the Reception entrance on the left-hand side and, in most cases, it is possible to park there for the duration of the visit. The areas around the office are level, and the entrance has sliding doors for ease of access. The Reception desk has low levels and both Reception and the office are spacious enough to accommodate wheelchairs. There is a disabled access toilet available. 

The park is relatively flat, with a small incline to the highest section of the park. Most of the holiday homes for sale are accessed via steps, so if you are looking to visit please let us know in advance so we can arrange a means of access. Some are specifically manufactured with wheelchair access in mind, and we can discuss these with you.

Kingfisher is a dog friendly park and assistance dogs are permitted throughout.

This is usually achieved through making various adjustments, such as wheelchair-accessible accommodation and common areas, quiet zones and trained staff. 

We offer adapted accommodation suitable for wheelchairs, with wet rooms, spacious open-plan living areas and ramp access, as well as the UK's first purpose-built neuro-inclusive caravan at Riverside Holiday Park. 

Our accessible accommodation is suitable for all. The neuro-inclusive caravan at Riverside is primarily targeted towards families with neurodiverse members and offers features such as a sensory den, adjustable lighting and alarmed doors and windows for a comfortable experience.

Yes, of course. We accept special requests such as being allocated accommodation in a certain area of the park or being located close to another party. We will do our utmost to fulfil your request, however, it cannot be guaranteed.

When you arrive on park, there will be signs directing you to Reception. You will need to bring your holiday confirmation with you and the team will provide you with your keys and a welcome information pack at check-in. 

Some of our parks have differing terrain and may have a slight incline due to the nature of the location.
