At Verdant Parks, giving our guests a wonderful holiday experience is our top priority, so we're always thinking up new ways to make our parks even better. From all-new accommodation options to new menus and giving two of our on-site venues a complete makeover, we have so much going on in 2026 that we don't know where to start!

The Canny Owl - opening Spring 2026
We’re cooking up a brand new venue at Riverside, named The Canny Owl. As a firm favourite of our parks, we wanted to give it the love and attention it deserves to make Northumberland escapes even better than they already are. The transformation will give the venue a whole new makeover, offering a fabulous place to sit back, relax and make those all-important memories to last a lifetime.
It’s certainly a big change, but one we’re incredibly excited for and we can’t wait to open the doors back up in Spring 2026!

Opening in Spring 2026, The Curious Grouse will offer a fabulous place to relax, rejuvenate and rest-up before another day exploring. As one of our most tranquil and picturesque parks, we felt like Heather View deserved an update to enhance escapes to County Durham even further, and The Curious Grouse is sure to do just that.

New sports court and play area at Thurston Manor
Thurston Manor will be welcoming a brand new sports court and play area in 2026, adding even more adventure and excitement to East Lothian getaways. Offering the chance for kids (and adults!) to stretch their legs with a game of football in the court or make believe in the play area, it’s the ideal place for energy and imagination to run wild.
