Situated in a quiet area surrounded by the Northumberland countryside stands the UK's first purpose-built neurodiverse-friendly holiday home. Designed by My Safe Place and Sunseeker Holiday Homes, the caravan offers a safe and secure place for neurodiverse guests and their families to relax, unwind and enjoy quality time together in the knowledge their needs are seen and understood. With calming colour schemes throughout, adjustable lighting, a sensory den and more, you'll find a calm, comfortable environment to settle in and feel right at home.
The caravan includes towels, a welcome pack and private parking. Beds will be made up on arrival and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials to make delicious meals. There is a secure, front decking area where you can enjoy a spot of fresh air or al fresco dining.
Spend less time avoiding triggers and more enjoying your holiday with key features including calming colour schemes, adjustable lighting, textured sensory cushions, stain-resistant fabrics for sofas, vinyl flooring, a sensory den and visual internal door signs for communication.
The Neurodiverse Friendly Daisy Caravan is found in a quiet area of the park, with limited stimulants and noise so guests can relax in the knowledge that they have somewhere safe, secure and calm to retreat to if they need.
The Neurodiverse Friendly Daisy Caravan offers plenty of safety features, including padded safe beds, cupboard and appliance locks, a hob guard, a child-friendly bathroom door lock, the hot water temperature set low, electrical sockets placed at height and window and door alarms, so you can relax with your mind at ease.
The Neurodiverse Friendly Daisy Caravan includes a sensory den, where guests can enjoy fibre optics, a colour changing light tube, an interactive cloud wall panel, a fidget wall panel, bean bag seating, blackout blinds and noise reduction wall panelling.
As part of our work to provide the best holiday experience possible, our teams are be trained to better understand neurodiverse needs, recognise signs of distress and respond with empathy and care.
