Salary: Upto £50,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time over 5 days a week. Will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

We are therefore seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to play a key role in the leadership, performance and success of Thurston Manor, our largest and one of our busiest parks.
Thurston Manor thrives on teamwork, energy and pride in delivering a welcoming and memorable experience for both holiday guests and holiday home owners. Working closely with the General Manager and wider management team, you will help lead this diverse operation and ensure standards remain high across every area of the park.
This is a senior, hands-on operational leadership role in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, offering an excellent opportunity to step into a key park leadership position.
As Assistant General Manager, you will take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the park alongside the General Manager. You will deputise in their absence and work with Department Heads to ensure all areas of the business operate safely, smoothly and in line with company standards, policies and financial targets.
You will lead from the front, maintaining visibility across the park, supporting and motivating teams, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring our guests and owners receive a consistently high-quality experience.
Typical duties and responsibilities:

- Supporting the General Manager in the safe, compliant and efficient operation of Thurston Manor
• Deputising for the General Manager when required, taking responsibility for overall park performance
• Working closely with Department Heads to ensure all operational areas deliver against service and financial targets
• Leading, motivating and developing teams to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation
• Supporting labour control, cost management and budget performance across the park
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, licensing, food safety, employment and data protection legislation
• Managing guest and owner feedback, resolving issues effectively and using insight to drive improvement
• Helping to maximise revenue while protecting margins and profitability
• Working with central support teams including HR, Finance, Sales and Operations
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture

What We’re Looking for:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, ideally within hospitality, leisure, tourism or a multi-site environment, with strong people leadership The successful candidate will have previous holiday park management experience, with a proven track record of leading, inspiring and motivating teams to perform at their best. You will bring strong communication skills and a confident, professional leadership style, combined with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations. A genuine passion for the holiday park industry and for delivering great customer experiences is essential, along with the flexibility and resilience needed to thrive in a busy, seasonal environment.
